Kahani is the first national
magazine of its kind. We uphold extremely high standards
for any material
that we publish. We do not accept stories, art or Spotlight
queries that advocate any religious or political agenda.
At this time, payment is made in contributor copies. |

Illustrators |

Most of our illustrations revolve around children
and primarily people of South Asian descent. The artist
must be able to depict these characters in an authentic
manner. When submitting samples, please make sure the
work shows children engaged in different activities,
yet staying consistent during a narrative. |
|
On occasion, we look for spot art to illustrate
crossword puzzles, etc. You may submit spot art samples
showing everyday objects, like a telephone, microscope,
etc. |
|
We accept a variety of styles and mediums.
