Mathangi Subramanian is an Indian American writer and educator. Her children’s fiction has appeared in Kahani, and her essay The Brown Girl's Guide to Labels is forthcoming in the Seal Press Anthology Fishnets, Faludi, and Frats. Her scholarly work has appeared in Penn GSE Perspectives on Urban Education, Current Issues in Comparative Education, and is forthcoming in the Encyclopedia of Women and Islamic Cultures.
She currently lives in New York City with her pet rabbit, Nova, who shares her love of crunchy vegetables and afternoon naps. She is nobody’s wife and nobody’s mother.
